Exploring the Next Phase of Situated and Interactive Docents for XR Exhibitions: From the Perspective of Knowledge Delivery
KSDS Conference 2024 Fall
Discovery themes for Museum Docent Narratives to Guide XR Interactions For Better Comprehension
This study investigates how XR interactions enhance museum knowledge delivery by analyzing 737 exhibit commentaries, interviewing curators to identify communication challenges, and proposing XR design strategies that incorporate situated visualization, spatio-temporal interaction, and participatory embodiment for richer visitor experiences
This study investigates how XR systems can improve knowledge delivery in museum exhibitions through the development of detailed themes of exhibit commentary knowledge. By creating a comprehensive framework based on real-world exhibitions, we offer a foundation to design XR docents that prioritize the right information and enhance visitor learning.
